I Sacerdoti del Sacro Cuore di Gesù (Dehoniani) informano che oggi, 17 ottobre 2001, circa le 19.00 ore delle Filippine (ore 13.00 in Italia), il Padre Giuseppe Pierantoni, missionario dehoniano italiano di 44 anni, è stato rapito da un gruppo di circa 15 persone, nella Parrocchia Nostra Signora di Fatima a Dimataling, Provincia di Zamboanga del Sud, nell'isola di Mindanao. Il Padre Pierantoni aveva finito di celebrare la santa Messa ed era rientrato nella casa parrocchiale. I sequestratori armati lo hanno prelevato con forza e sono fuggiti, attraversando la baia di Illana, usando un motoscafo.

Il Padre Janusz Burzawa, d'origine polacca, è giunto in casa subito dopo il sequestro del suo confratello, e ne è stato informato da un testimone.

Padre Giuseppe Pierantoni è nato a Bologna il 24 gennaio 1957; ha emesso i primi voti religiosi il 27 settembre 1981, ed è stato ordinato sacerdote il 19 settembre 1987. È giunto nelle Filippine nel dicembre 1991.

I Padri dehoniani hanno iniziato la missione nelle Filippine il 17 maggio 1989.
 
 

The Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehoniani) were informed today, 17 October 2001, that at approximately 19.00 hours, Philippine time (13.00 hours in Italy), Father Giuseppe Pierantoni, a 44 year old Italian Dehonian missionary, was kidnapped by a group of approximately 15 persons, from the Parish Our Lady of Fatima in Dimataling, the province of Zamboanga del Sur, on the island of Mindanao. Fr. Pierantoni had just ended celebrating Mass and had re-entered the rectory. The armed kidnappers took him by force and escaped by crossing the Bay of Illana in a speedboat

Father Janusz Burzawa, originally from Poland, returned to the house after the kidnapping of his fellow Dehonian, and was informed of the events by an eyewitness.

Father Giuseppe Pierantoni was born in Bologna on January 24,1957. He made his first profession of vows on September 27, 1981, and was ordained a priest on September 19, 1987. He began his work in the Philippines in December of 1991.

Les Prêtres du Sacré-Coeur de Jésus (Dehoniens) ont appris aujourd'hui, le 17 octobre 2001, que vers 19h00, heure des Philippines (13h00 en Italie), le Père Giuseppe Pierantoni, un missionnaire dehonien italien de 44 ans, a été enlevé par un groupe d'environ 15 personnes, à la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Fatima, à Dimataling, dans la province de Zamboanga del Sur, sur l'île de Mindanao. Le P. Pierantoni venait de terminer la célébration de la messe et se trouvait au presbytère. Les ravisseurs armés l'ont amené de force et se sont échappés en traversant la Baie d'Illana dans une embarcation rapide.

Le Père Janusz Burzawa, originaire de Pologne, a été informé des événements par un témoin oculaire, à son retour à la maison, après l'enlèvement de son confrère dehonien.

Le Père Giuseppe Pierantoni est né à Bologne le 24 janvier 1957. Il a fait sa première profession le 27 septembre 1981 et a été ordonné prêtre le 19 septembre 1987. Il a commencé à travailler aux Philippines en décembre 1991.
