Born in 1919, in Canonica d'Adda, Italy, and ordained in 1944, he first was a teacher in Castiglione dei Pepoli and Monza. He was very popular among staff and students and his interest in sports and his joyful character earned him recognition from CONI. English
In 1971, at the age of 51, he volunteered for the Congo. In Lingondo (1971-1973) and later in Nduye-Mambasa, he dedicated himself to schools and sports. He created "Les jeux de l'amitié" (the games of friendship) involving the schools of the region.
In 1985 he was operated on for stomach difficulties but returned to the Congo and remained until 1996. In 1997 he underwent a heart operation. At 79, he accepted being parish priest in the small town of Italy, Savoniero, where he collapsed on Sunday morning (November 22nd) just before Mass.
