In Constitutions #7 Fr. Dehon directs us to be prophets of love and servants of reconciliation for mankind and the world in Christ. Thus pledged with Christ to undo sin and the neglect of love in the church and in the world they will by their whole life their prayer, work, joys and sufferings render the worship of love an reparation which his heart desires. How do I, with the help of Christ, seek to undo sin and the neglect of love in my own life? [pause] Lord have mercy. How have I, with the help of Christ, since our last assembly sought to undo sin and the neglect of love in our province and local communities? [pause] Lord have mercy. How do, I with the help of Christ, seek to undo sin and the neglect of love in the Church and the World? [pause] Lord have mercy. Our Founder was able to cope with the consumatum est, and many other difficulties in life because of his spirituality. "The major characteristic of this, he would call self surrender, a special grace for those devoted to the Heart of Jesus. An inner availability to let himself be guided by daily happenings seeing them as pointers or, as we say today, signs of Divine Providence." (A short life of Leo Dehon by Yves Ledure p. 112) Let us pause and pray for this gift of self surrender, and also like Fr. Dehon, seek to be formed more in the image of Christ each day. [pause]
