Congo Trip
Fr. General will be traveling to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) around the 20th of December to participate in the 100th Anniversary Celebration of our SCJ presence. He will be accompanied by Fr. Ryszard Mis, scj (General Councilor responsible for the Missions)New Bishop
Fr. Tomé Makhweliha, scj (member of the General Council, responsible for Africa) has been appointed bishop elect of the diocese of Pemba, Mozambique by Pope John Paul II.Letter to the congregation in EnglishCouncil visits Naples
The General Council will be hosted by the South Italian Provincialate the week of December 1, 1997. The Council will use this time away from Rome as an "island experience" as part of their study and planning for their mandate.India
