France - Final Vow Preparation
Coming from Poland (2), Portugal (4), Southern Italy (1), Ukraine (1), Croatia (1) and France (1) we gathered at Paris, starting on July 14th, to prepare for our final vows.During this period we shared our experiences in the Church and the Congregation. We covered the same steps of Fr. Dehon in Paris, Saint Quentin, Brussels and La Capelle.
Fr. Tertünte (GE) spoke to us about the relationships of Fr. Dehon with some people and about his work at Saint Joseph. Fr. Famerée (EF) spoke on these themes: love, oblation, reparation, spirituality of the Sacred Heart, adoration, in the present context. Fr. Ledure (EF) emphasized the commitments of Fr. Dehon which might help inspire us in our own commitment.
We closed this session in Paris, on July, 25. We thank Christ and all the Congregation for all we experienced during these special days.

Rome - Fr. Girardi's situation
Fr. Oliviero Giuseppe Girardi (IS), General Postulator of the Congregation, underwent abdomen surgery on June 20, 2002. Since his recover is slow and difficult he asked to be taken to Bolognano, North Italy, where the Northern Italian province has a house for the critically ill. This happened on July, 25 and he is now under the care of the local nursing staff.
The General Administration thanks the Northern Italian Province and to the community of Bolognano for their fraternal attitude. His health situation is delicate and we recommend him to the intercession of the Blessed Juan María de la Cruz.
