Posted to the Letters and Documents section is a listing of scjs according to their country of origin, as of December 31, 2001. There are a total of 43 countries represented with Brazil at the top of the list with 376 scjs born in Brazil. Notedthat Portuguese is the native language of 512 SCJs or 22.41% of the congregation.

Justice & Peace
Posted to the Justice & Peace page is an article in French sent by Giovanni Pross (ZA) LES SOUFFRANCES DU PEUPLE CONGOLAIS.
CanadaFr. General, with the consent of his council,has appointed Fr. Richard Dominique Woodbury as the first regional superior of the new Canadian Region (CAN). This region will combine the current province of Anglo Canada (CA) and the region of French Canada (CGA). Fr. Woodbury's term of office will commence with the erection of the new region on the Feast of the Sacred Heart, June 7, 2002.
A consultation in now taking place to select two members for the regional council.
Mozambique
We are publishing the 25th Letter (CARTA ÀS COMUNIDADES nº 25) from the Province of Mozambique. Please note it is available only in Portuguese.
Poland
Having appointed Fr. Zbigniew Bogacz to a second triennium as provincial superior to begin on May 26, 2002, and after a consultation with the province, the General Superior with the consent of his council, has appointed the following to serve as memberrs of the provincial council:
- Fr. Tadeusz Michalek
- Fr. Jan Strazalka
- Fr. Stanislaaw Stanczyk
- Fr. Józef Wrocenski
Rome
The Rome I & II communities, together with other scjs in Rome, honored Fr. Virginio Bressanelli, superior general ,on April 27th in anticipation of his 60th birthday which he celebrated on May 1st. The day long celebration included, liturgy a 'grand' pranzo and an evening community gathering.

[32] Assembly of Alumni-July 30, 1922(AD.B. 7/10 inv. 43.10) Fr. Delloue gave the homily. Fr. Dehon offered a toast and then spoke. The damaged document only stated "As always, a patriotic message with the same call to action, encouraging the work of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Catholic schools they subsidized."
NOTE: In his diary, Fr. Dehon wrote that he was not able to attend the Alumni Meeting at St. John's held in July 1923. (NQ XLIV, 80)
