Century SCJ Martyrs
In
preparation for the March 11th Beatification of Fr Juan de la Cruz García
Méndez scj of our Spanish Province (HI) we will be presenting a
weekly series on our "SCJ Martyrs of the XXth Century." This
series has been prepared by Stefan Tertünte (GE) using the work of
Fr. Bernd Bothe (GE) Märtyrer der Herz-Jesu-Priester (SCJ Martyrs).
With
the beatification of Fr. Juan taking place on March 11th we
present the short biography of his life prepared by Fr. Evaristo Martínez
de Alegria (HI), assistant postulator in Rome.

Batista de Morais Neto
and Francisco Sales de Morais
will be ordained to the priesthood on March 17th. The ordination will take
place in the city of Apodi - Rio Grande do Norte. Both of them are are
members of our parish at Apodi and will be ordained there by bishop José
Freire de Oliveira Neto, diocesan bishop of Mossoró.
The
Northern Brazilian SCJs are very glad and thankful to God, because this
year they have four new priests in their province.
04.03.2001
SCJs from Ontario
and Quebec met in Montreal from Monday, March 5, 2001 to Wednesday March
7, 2001 to develop plans for a unified form of governance in Canada. Another
gathering is planned for later this summer.
